7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

How Does It Work?

To ensure a successful virtual poker tournament, we need you to do a few important things BEFORE we get together.

  1. Download the poker app to your phone or tablet:
  2. Review the hand rankings sheet.

Joining the Event:

  • Please plan to login to the Zoom on a separate device (laptop is recommended) and Poker Powher will deliver the event via Zoom link.
  • All players will join the main zoom room together and be given the tournament code and instructions. Once the tournament starts, players will be placed in the zoom breakout room for the specific poker table.
  • Join the Zoom link at least 5 minutes before the event is due to start. We recommend having the latest version of Zoom.
  • When you join the Zoom Meeting Room, please mute your sound and join with video. (Trust us, it’s more fun when you can see everyone!).
  • Remember to log out of other communication platforms (Teams, Meet or Skype) in order to have more bandwidth.

Who Does This Support?

Proceeds from the NACAS Foundation Poker Tournament go directly to support students through our Campus Care Grant.

The Campus Care Grant awards up to $25,000 annually to programs or services that support student achievement by addressing a basic need of students on campus, such as housing, food, mobility, safety, academic resources, and counseling. The NACAS Foundation developed the Campus Care Grant to expand the level of support campuses can provide to students through service delivery.
