Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities

As a volunteer leadership-driven organization, NACAS is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who are willing to provide time, feedback, and ideas to enhance the Association. Specific issues facing the Association are addressed by 11 standing committees, advisory committees, and task forces working in conjunction with NACAS staff and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Nominations

NACAS is committed to the level of diversity in its leadership that reflects the membership and the profession. Members are encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague for various committee openings. For appointments that begin at the NACAS Annual Conference, nominations must be submitted by July 15th of that year. All positions are eligible for self-nominations. Please check back in March when volunteer opportunities open up for 2018 and beyond.

NACAS National Board

Become involved on the NACAS National Board to collectively guide strategic operations and influence where our Association is going.

NACAS Regional Board

The NACAS Regions lay the foundation for volunteerism, governance and quality interaction of the membership. Regions share equally in the ongoing success of NACAS and continue to contribute at all levels to its leadership.

NACAS National Committees

As a volunteer-driven association, NACAS relies heavily on the expertise and time of those who serve on standing committees. Much of the work is accomplished via monthly conference calls.

National and Regional Conference Volunteering

Behind-the-scene tasks are critical to the execution of any event. Help us make the Annual Conference a seamless production by introducing speakers, setting signage, or distributing handouts. If volunteerism at the large, national conference feels intimidating, gain experience as a volunteer at your regional conference.

Submit an article for publication in College Services to showcase your success stories and highlight innovative services and products. Others can learn as much from your experience as you have from theirs. We want to help you share your ideas and experience, and pledge to make it easier than you might expect.
