NACAS Names Kelsey Harmon Finn as New Chief Executive Officer

Charlottesville, VA (October 16, 2015) – NACAS, the largest auxiliary and ancillary services organization serving higher education, announced today that they have appointed Kelsey Harmon Finn as the new CEO of NACAS effective January 11, 2016. Dr. Eleanor Mower will continue to act as Interim CEO until Ms. Harmon Finn is in place.

“I am very pleased to announce Kelsey as the new NACAS CEO,” said NACAS President Kathryn Le Gros. “Her proven leadership and industry credibility make her the ideal person to move NACAS forward and build on the successes we have already achieved.”

Kelsey brings 15 years of experience in higher education and association management. For the past three years, Kelsey has served as the executive director for the ASUC Auxiliary & University Student Union at the University of California, Berkeley, where she managed a $20M operating budget, over 150 employees, and the university’s largest student fee-funded project, a $223M student union complex. Prior to the University of California, Berkeley, Kelsey held the position of Director, Student Union & Event Services at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for five years. Prior to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Kelsey served at Illinois State University, College of DuPage, and the Oak Brook Area Association of Commerce and Industry.

Kelsey has also served in multiple volunteer positions with NACAS, including as the 2014 – 2015 NACAS West President.

“This is a terrific opportunity for me and I am excited to serve as CEO for our Association,” said Kelsey Harmon Finn. “I believe this is a perfect time and opportunity for NACAS to build on the great groundwork that has been developed over the years, and spring forward as a true leader in shaping the future of Higher Education.  With the ever increasing demands on universities and colleges to reimagine the educational system while simultaneously exploring new paradigms for generating revenue, it is my belief that NACAS is perfectly poised to seize this opportunity to share ideas, create new business solutions, and develop the industry models that will be best practices for years to come. NACAS is a critical stakeholder in supporting not only auxiliary services professionals but, ultimately, the students and their success. I look forward to serving with the NACAS Board of Directors, our volunteers and members, and the NACAS National Office staff to focus on delivering value to our members and business partners.”
