2022 NACAS Student Author Contest Winners Selected

Charlottesville, VA — NACAS, the largest auxiliary and ancillary services organization serving higher education, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Student Author Contest. The Student Author Contest is an annual competition where students provide real-world examples of how auxiliary services impact their own personal campus experience. Each year, the essay prompt is shifted to reflect how events of the prior year have affected auxiliary services role in student success. The 2022 prompt was:

“How have auxiliary services departments on your campus adapted their operations to support you? Please provide specific examples of challenges that have been overcome by your campus auxiliary services departments adjusting to mitigate these issues.”

The winners are:

1st Place – Daphne Chan, Simon Fraser University
2nd Place – Kyle Powers, Boston College

Chan and Powers will receive the following cash prizes for their efforts: $1,000 for first place and $600 for second place, courtesy of the NACAS Foundation.

Winning submissions will be printed in the fall issue of College Services magazine
