NACAS Announces New Interim CEO, Lillian De Lisle Stott
(March 22, 2021 | Charlottesville, VA) — NACAS, the largest auxiliary and ancillary services support organization serving higher education, announces the appointment of Lillian De Lisle Stott as Interim CEO, effective immediately.
“I am honored to be serving in the Interim CEO role and excited about where NACAS is moving in the future,” said Stott. “Thanks to the support of our staff and volunteers, our association is well-positioned to continue the progress we have achieved so far in 2021.”
Stott has been working with the NACAS community for about nine years. Beginning her career at NACAS in 2012, she was soon after hired to serve as the Managing Director of Community College Business Officers (CCBO), an organization that the NACAS staff team supported until late 2018. Other roles have included Director of Professional Development and Associate Executive Director, where she directly supported the NACAS CEO and Board of Directors on organization-wide initiatives, led the strategic planning process, and served as a go-to leader for the staff team.
Most recently, Stott has been serving as Chief Operating Officer, where she oversees finance, technology, HR, governance, legal, and all other administrative functions of the association. Stott is passionate about finding ways to connect the big-picture goals of the organization with day-to-day processes and empowering the staff team and volunteers to work toward our common goals to support the auxiliary services industry.
“The board is confident in Lillian’s expertise and business acumen having held various and expansive roles for NACAS over the last 9 years,” said Mark Ironside, NACAS President and Assistant Vice President of Business Services at Lehigh University. “I look forward to working alongside her during this transition.”
The NACAS Board of Directors is working to finalize the CEO Search Committee and are developing plans to gather feedback from the membership about the desired attributes of the next CEO.
“It is our goal to form an inclusive and transparent search committee to select a new CEO that will guide the association through the remaining challenges of COVID-19 and the ongoing evolution and growth of higher education auxiliaries,” said Ironside.
