It's time for a change.

It's time for a change.

NACAS Anti-Racism Statement

As auxiliary services professionals, it is our job to ensure the collective well-being of the students we serve. NACAS cannot and will not remain silent. To all members of the black community and those who have been impacted by the recent and longstanding senseless acts of violence: We hear you, we see you, and we stand with you in the fight against systemic racism.

Change can take place in many forms. We can participate in peaceful protest, vote to elect socially responsible public officials, and organize at the grassroots level to make sure our demands are met. But perhaps the most meaningful change takes place in the heart and home. Now is the time to look inward, to listen, and to learn. We encourage you to research anti-racism resources and articles with your families and peers. Here are a few places to start:

NACAS is committed to providing the best resources and solutions to help our members and business partners create safe and inclusive spaces for their communities. Our association places an incredibly high value on our guiding principles of integrity, inclusivity, and respect, and we understand that the work is never done. At NACAS, we will continue to examine our own practices to ensure that we are fully embracing diversity and being inclusive of all. It’s time to get to work.

Be safe and stay well,
