Chartwells Higher Ed Named 2021 Business Partner of the Year

Charlottesville, VA — NACAS is pleased to announce that Chartwells Higher Education has received the honor of Business Partner of the Year. This award is presented to the companies which have made particularly noteworthy contributions to NACAS member institutions and to the auxiliary services profession.

Of late, there has been no better foodservice partner than Chartwells, which serves over 300 campuses across the United States. Chartwells has made feeding students their top priority, even when operating under dire circumstances, such as the winter storm which affected numerous states in February 2021. Facing power outages and food shortages, Chartwells staff worked overtime to make sure those who needed meals got them, at one point giving students meals at no charge. Their anticipation, preparedness, and ability to pivot quickly kept students and staff from going hungry during these adverse moments. Chartwells is a true partner who embodies the term “going the extra mile.” They have done what it takes to make sure everyone they serve is valued, from their rigorous sanitation measures to little handwritten notes for those affected by COVID-19 to collaborating with the campuses to promote and maintain safety for everyone.
