NACAS Inaugurates David P. Wahr, CASP, as President and Installs the New 2018 Board Members
Charlottesville, VA (December 19, 2017) – NACAS, the largest auxiliary and ancillary services support organization serving higher education, installed David P. Wahr, CASP of Owens Community College, as President, and added several new members to its board at the C3X 2017 Annual Conference & Expo in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“We are all dedicated to making NACAS a valuable resource to auxiliary professionals in higher education everywhere,” said Wahr. “We have challenges, but we also have the energy, talent and know-how to overcome them and improve both our profession and our students’ lives.”
What does auxiliary services mean? Outside of the industry, the idea is not well-defined or understood. During his 2017-2018 term, Wahr intends to spend time intentionally carving out a definition for the term ‘auxiliary services,’ and helping to determine the industry’s place in the greater higher education community.
“His focus on defining and elevating the profession of auxiliary services will benefit our members and the students at those institutions,” Kelsey Harmon Finn, NACAS CEO, said. “His dedication to progress and transparency is sure to continue the forward movement NACAS as we head toward our 50th anniversary.”
