Eddie Mills Inaugurated as President of NACAS Foundation Board of Directors
(December 9, 2020 | Charlottesville, VA) — The NACAS Foundation installed Eddie Mills Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services at Georgia Southern University as President of the NACAS Foundation Board of Directors.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to serve as the NACAS Foundation President. I feel like my role is to explore new opportunities for the Foundation to impact college students directly through our fundraising initiatives,” said Mills.
In 2020, the NACAS Foundation ushered in more virtual fundraising methods through its NACASCARES campaign, something that Mills wants to continue in 2021 and beyond. They hope to be more engaged with the membership throughout the year, in addition to virtual and in-person events.
“We have been committed to fundraising for the association and making sure our members are benefitting from those efforts. We believe we can continue that, even grow it, while also strengthening our ability to directly impact college students,” said Mills. “We want to tell our story in ways that make it clear that the NACAS Foundation, with its potential partners, can reach college campuses in a way that few others are able to do.”
The Campus Care Grant, which provides up to $25,000 to college and university programs that address basic needs issues on campus, will also continue to be a priority for the Foundation. Mills says the Foundation will be looking for additional opportunities to work with NACAS business partners, aligning mutual goals of impacting students on college campuses.
“As the NACAS Foundation continues to impact students’ basic needs with the Campus Care Grant and auxiliary professionals with scholarships, Eddie is the perfect leader at the perfect time,” said NACAS CEO Kelsey Harmon Finn. “His commitment to growing the Foundation through close friendships, long-standing relationships, and dedicated board leadership is invaluable to our future.”
